Adecco are currently looking for a full time Lead Copywriter r to work for their client at a leading Global organisation based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The Copywriter will be working 36 hours a week and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5. This role is a Temp role for a minimum of 3 months starting in June
I write compelling copy that enhances the perception of the client as a leading fashion brand, improving the customer experience and having a positive impact on sales.
In this job I am accountable for:
- Writing engaging and persuasive product descriptions and website copy for F&F/clothing, including banner copy, listing page copy and editorial features
- Deputising for the website editor, editing copy including product descriptions, weekly website refresh and email copy
- Improving copy in my area based on customer feedback
- Ensuring that website copy is accurate and up to date, legally compliant and in line with search engine optimisation best practice, and that website standards are maintained
- Ensuring all copy is optimised for the web
- Ensuring that website copy adheres to the F&F and Tesco brand guidelines, and supporting the influence of ongoing development of brand guidelines to ensure that the requirements of F&F online are met
- Leading and developing the copywriters within the team
- Working with trading, buying, merchandising and technical teams to ensure that product descriptions are accurate and communicate key benefits to customers
- Monitoring competitors for best practice and new innovations
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
Skills needed:
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- A sharp eye and attention to detail
- Understanding of online retail and how great copy can make a difference
- Passion for fashion and ability to spot trends
- Communication skills
- Knowledge of SEO best practice
Experience:
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast paced environment
- Fashion writing - journalism or e-commerce
