We have a brilliant new role available in Chelmsford for an Applications Engineer to join a well regarded and respected company. This role would see you working alongside the Technical Manager to provide support to both colleague and clients in a professional and understandable way. Though you will primarily be based in Chelmsford, you will be required to travel on occasion for this role and so drivers are needed for this position.

Your daily duties in this role would range from providing the support mentioned above to compiling and transmitting customer quotations and selections. The role will involve a lot of liaison with suppliers on technical matters so you must be an effective communicator and you will also be responsible for the technical selection of certain products and accessories. You will also co-ordinate internal warranty claims and manage and disseminate technical information from our client's parent company and relay this to colleagues. Please note, this is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to be flexible with working duties to ensure the smooth running of the business.

For your application to be successful, you will need to have solid experience of working within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. It is preferable you also have experience working with industrial fans, however this is not essential. As well as experience, our client is looking for candidates who have qualifications within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Other requirements include strong numeracy and literacy skills, good computer literacy especially on Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to be self motivated and in possession of excellent communication skills both written and oral. As mentioned in the first paragraph, all candidates must drive to be accepted due to the role involving travel.

There are multiple benefits of working for this company, including an annual salary of £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on your working experience. There is also a realistic commission structure in place which gives a nice amount of extra earning potential! You can also expect 25 days holiday, enrolment onto a pension scheme and a great and friendly working environment! You will be working 40 hours per week but may be required to complete overtime during busy periods.
