Infrastructure Engineer

This Leeds-based hosting and solutions provider is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join their team. You will be responsible for assisting in the expansion of the company's public cloud platforms, managing network and server infrastructure, architecting and building bespoke solutions for enterprise clients, along with the 3rd line support of these solutions. You will also be a role model for junior team members, mentoring where needed to increase the breadth of support abilities across the team.

As a key member of their team, you will be required to have the enthusiasm and initiative to drive their business forward and ensure that they remain on the cutting edge of technology.

Key skills/Experience:
- A strong understanding of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and/or Windows Server 2012/2016 environments.
- A good understanding of Switching and Routing.
- A good understanding of firewalls.
- Experience with administering VMware and/or Hyper-V clusters.
- A good understanding of web hosting concepts such as DNS.
- Practical experience and understanding of computer/server hardware.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Previous 2nd/3rd Line experience

Any experience with the following would be desirable but are not essential:
- Enterprise level firewalls (Fortinet in particular)
- A good understanding of storage concepts.
- Load balancing concepts
- MS Exchange, Active Directory
- IIS/Apache
- Managing Cisco, HP, or Aruba switches via CLI
- VMware/Hyper-V
- Powershell
- Hyper-Converged storage
- Veeam, Mimecast, Backup Exec
- Office 365
- Syslog/Netflow/sFlow
- Grafana

You will be working with the latest hyper-converged technologies so a good understanding of networking, virtualization and knowledge of storage principles would also be advantageous.
