Due to significant growth of the Health, Safety and Environment department activities, a superb opportunity has arisen to join Honda of the UK Manufacturing (HUM) as a HS&E Inspections and Audits Coordinator on a permanent basis at our flagship manufacturing site in Swindon.

Joining a team of 18 HS&E Coordinators, this role is essential for delivering the key audit and inspection activities that guarantee the organisation understands its level of HS&E compliance to legislation, ISO standards and Honda Policies. This in turn will ensure we continue to meet our business requirements, maintain our HS&E certification but enhance the opportunity to drive continual improvement and achieve best practise at all levels in the organisation.

The successful applicant will be required to do occasional overtime.

Main responsibilities:

•Establishment, coordination and implementation of annual programmes for:
BSC integrated Safety and Environment 5 star audits.
Internal ISO 14001/ 50001 and OHSAS 18001 to support maintenance of HUM ISO certification
Receipt of 3rd Party company-wide ISO 14001/50001 and OHSAS 18001

•Establishment, coordination and implementation of HS&E inspection programmes including Safety Assurance, workplace inspections and HS&E representative checks

•Support audit delivery as a participating auditor and auditee

•Investigating concerns raised and deliver corrective and preventive actions and provide feedback to relevant parties

To be considered for the position of HS&E Inspections and Audits Coordinator you must:

•Understanding of HS&E system audits and inspections

•Demonstrable communication skills with all levels

•Excellent administration and organisational skills

•NEBOSH (Certificate level) in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent

•Broad Understanding of HS&E Legislation

•Experience of organising & coordinating audit and inspection programmes

•Background in Health, Safety and Environment

•Qualified as auditor of HS&E Management Systems

•Demonstrable ability to analyse, identify and highlight concerns

•Highly organised with the ability to lead large group activities confidently and fulfil an important liaison role with external verifiers

•Experience of HS&E within automotive manufacturing would be advantageous, but not essential
