Bookkeeper
Our Client, a long established conference & events venue, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper for its accounts department on a part-time (30 hours per week) permanent basis. The duties listed in the job spec are shared with the department's existing accounts clerk who has recently reduced their working hours from full to part-time (the hours required for this vacancy are detailed below). As such, the duties are largely stand-alone.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
·To maintain the accounts on Sage 50 & process weekly & monthly payroll preparation using Sage Payroll,
·Preparation of information for quarterly accounts,
·Processing purchase & sales ledger, bank, nominal ledger & financial returns (incl. VAT),
·To match all purchase invoices to orders and delivery notes. Preparation of payments either cheques or direct bank payments,
·Recording all bank transactions and preparation of a monthly bank reconciliation,
·To maintain a schedule of number of diners for events, maintain a debtors schedule listing invoices & bank receipts, and maintain a schedule of rent charges,
·Prepare sales invoices for rent charges, meals & events etc. Also monthly recharge invoices to the business from the costing sheet,
·To record & analyze all sales on a spreadsheet & prepare a monthly invoice,
·To regularly chase outstanding debts, recording & reconciling credit card receipts, the banking of cash / cheque,
·Produce till reports,
·Prepare information for quarterly management accounts,
·Trial balance & detailed nominal ledger printouts,
·Accruals schedule,
·Produce stock schedule for stocktakes & update stock system to actual quantities following monthly stocktakes,
·Input of purchases of beverages, update system for price changes and maintain stock system,
·Dealing with telephone queries,
·Various other finance duties.

Reporting to: Operations Manager / Finance Director


Package
·Salary: £12 to £15 p/h (full-time equivalent: £24k - £30k) Pro-Rata
·Part-time hours: 5 Days per week 6 hours per day(flexible start/finish times).
·Holiday: Accrued (full-time equivalent 20 Days + STAT)
