LOCATION: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

JOB TITLE: Recruitment Sales Agent

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP17,500 - GBP18,000 depending on experience with salary increase after successful probation. Uncapped commission - realistic OTE GBP25,000

WORKING HOURS: 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for a Recruitment Sales Agent to join the established team in Sheffield. This is an outbound role speaking to customers that have previously advertised with Johnston Press to re-establish a relationship and manage their account going forward.

Key Responsibilities of a Recruitment Sales Agent to include:
  • Make outbound calls to lapsed customers to explain and promote recruitment advertising
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales, going the extra mile to meet targets and facilitate future sales
  • Offer multi-media recruitment solutions and advising / consulting / supporting recruiters through every step of their recruitment process
  • Complete the daily required number of new contacts, calls, follow ups and talk time etc. in order to deliver personal sales targets ensuring that all calls, contacts and sales are logged and recorded accurately every day
  • Maintain and update the customer database
  • Take and process orders accurately ensuring that all details are correct before completion


THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Recruitment Sales Agent role will have excellent customer service skills with the ability to speak to people at all levels. Although previous experience in an outbound sales environment would be an advantage, we are able to train and develop those with the willingness to learn.

Previous experience in or knowledge of recruitment sales would be highly advantageous

Key skills / experience for the role of Recruitment Sales Agent based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire:
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Sheffield, South Yorkshire
  • Previous outbound sales experience is highly advantageous
  • An understanding of media and recruitment advertising is desirable
