Production Controller (Orders, Manufacturing)

Our Client is a premium supplier of high integrity forged products to quality markets globally. They have created a fully integrated metals service centre which has grown to be a leading provider of open-die quality forgings, making safety critical components in service conditions from the deepest oceans to outer space. Their flexibility and scale of operations means that they can provide both highly specialised “one-off” forgings as well as volume production.

They now have an excellent opportunity for a Production Controller to join their Production Control team in Sheffield. This fast-paced department has a key role in the management and planning of the production process. Reporting to the Production Control Manager, you will deal with the management of orders from point of order taking through to despatch, expediting the orders through the business and giving feedback to others in production control or management as required. This will also include communicating with customers and internal departments frequently to ensure that the customers delivery expectations are met.

You will take reasonable care of your own health and safety, and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the ability and experience in planning workloads in a similar environment and ideally use of Microsoft Project and Excel. Basic understanding of metallurgy, production or engineering would be beneficial however isn’t essential.
