Quality Technician 12mo FTC
We are looking for a QUALITY TECHNICIAN to join one of our clients in Egham, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
To be successful in this role you will have;
- knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001 plus an understanding of Environmental Management Systems 140001
- the ability to collate and analyse quality and environmental data and to present in a professional manner
- been responsible for some aspects of product compliance, mainly data management
- the ability to multi task and has a high level of logical and analytical ability
- current environmental and quality knowledge
Our client is a global electronics distributor, servicing large international technology organisations. This role is to be based at their EMEA headquarters, with occasional visits to the EMEA distribution centre and selected branches.
Responsibilities of the QUALITY TECHNICIAN role include;
1. To assist in the management of the quality and environmental management system
2. To maintain, amend and create process diagrams and SOP's (procedures)
3. To assist with product compliance issues such as WEEE, REACH, ROHS, Conflict Minerals, etc.
4. To ensure that only recurring problems that affect quality, the environment or service are assigned for investigation.
5. Administer the CAR/SCAR database and provide summary statistics at the end of each month
6. Assess / verify the effectiveness of received responses from suppliers (SCARS, 8D reports), which outline root cause analyses and preventive actions
7. Manage Failure Analysis Requests & liaise with suppliers to arrange sample testing of defective parts
8. Assist in preparation for ISO 9001, AS9120, ISO 50001 and ISO 140001 audits as directed by manager and assist in the audits
9. Complete Quality Questionnaires as received from Customers
10. Conduct internal and EMEA branch audits
11. Provide a first class customer service level to all internal and external customers
