Urgently looking for experienced Proof readers / QC's / Quality Control Inspector who is confident checking artwork for spelling, text, colour, images etc. for a national, well-respected market leader based in Manchester. You will join a forward thinking team of Artworkers, Designers, Printers and Studio Managers, working for global well-known brands including major UK supermarkets.
This is a rare opportunity to progress your career within the packaging industry to help work on a brand new project for a well-established packaging company.
The successful candidate for this Proofreader / QC / Quality Control Inspector opportunity will have:
- Recent proofreading experience, checking artwork on a technical level against briefs
- Experience within the packaging industry
- Repro knowledge - trapping, bleeds, colour correction etc.
- Worked in the graphics industry - essential from print / packaging agency
- Working knowledge of Plateroom specifications
-Demonstrate ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
-Good knowledge of the graphic Mac applications, illustrator, Acrobat are preferable.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible and accountable for the Quality Assurance within the studio. You will be responsible for checking all files & proofs before release to customer/client or production. You will ensure jobs comply with the relevant printer specification/guidelines.
To be considered for this role it is ESSENTIAL that you have experience in a similar QC / QUALITY CONTROL position within the print and packaging industry. Or you will have experience in an artworker role with QC duties
