Field Service Engineer

The company is an engineering business based in Chesham. 

The core business is to service and maintain scissor lifts, dock levellers and waste balers for very well-known retailers along with a number of smaller customers.
 

They are looking to recruit a Service Engineer that would cover the London, The SE, and Midlands area.

The role is based from home, visiting client premises/stores as the call-outs or PPM's demand, and working with a call-out structure ranging from 4 hours and longer, depending on the nature of the breakdown or fault.

The role calls for a range of skills - electrical/hydraulic - along with an ability to weld (preferred) and these skills may be from similar engineering backgrounds. 

Understanding of wiring diagrams and safety control circuits is advantageous.

Key personal attributes must reflect the need to be customer focused and courteous. 

The company would expect good problem solving skills and initiative as for a large part this is a lone working role, with technical back-up provided by the office. You would need to be comfortable with longer hours at times, callouts, and rota'd weekend working. The base week is 40 hours. Our average working week is 50-55 hours, and this would include being paid from home to home.

Expected earnings would be difficult to define. OTE should be in the range of £27500 - £35000, possibly more based on hours, this can, of course, be discussed at interview if selected.
