CNC Machine Setter

An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machine Setter to join a well-established company based in Leeds!

The Company:

They are a family owned engineering company established in 1978 that provides a world class precision engineering service which manufactures components to the highest levels of specification. They are recognized as one of the leading UK suppliers of high quality precision turned & milled components.

Skills/Abilities Required:

• To program, set and operate the CNC Milling Machines.
• Working to meet delivery deadlines and planned targets.
• Setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Calculating requirements, including basic math, proving part programs.
• Ensuring all work completed is compliant to relevant health and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Responsible for own inspection using a range of inspection equipment.

Other Requirements:

• A flexible approach.
• Be able to work as a part of the team but mostly independently.
• Good time management is crucial in this role.
• General engineering capabilities.
• Knowledge of setting up and operating CNC machines Fanuc.
• Experience using various measuring instruments.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience working in a production environment.

Hours of work:

• Standard: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.00 pm, Friday 8.00am to 1.00 pm.
• Possibility of overtime: Friday 1pm-3pm (depending on business needs there may be a possibility for extra overtime).
• 22 days of holidays and guaranteed bank holidays.

Years of experience: minimum 3+

Education Level: Education is a big advantage but experience is similar role is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00 to £27,000.00 /year, Negotiable depending on experience.
