Brighton College has an exciting opportunity for a Physics Technician to join the team based in Brighton, East Sussex. You will work on a full time, permanent basis (term time only) and receive a highly competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications).

The Physics Technician Role  

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the College as a Physics Technician who will support the day-to-day teaching activities and assist the Physics Department in delivering a safe, inspiring and inclusive education to pupils. 

Our ideal Physics Technician will:

- Be a trained technician with experience of working within a laboratory or school prep room environment
- Show the ability to work independently as well as with teaching staff and pupils
- Have the ability to multi-task in fulfilling requests from several staff often to tight deadlines
- Have excellent numerical and ICT skills 
- Show commitment to adhere to safety procedures
- Have a BSc or equivalent in Physics/Engineering or a related science is desirable but not essential
 
The College is currently enjoying great success. Recent awards include: Sunday Times School of the Year, Tatler Headmaster of the Year, and UK Independent School of the Year.

Hours: During term-time (35 weeks per year) - 8.10am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  During the school holidays (17 weeks per year), 20 hours a week, to be agreed with the Head of Physics.
