22 hours per week

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a driven and creative individual to come and work for Our Sale West Big Local and work in partnership with the Development team at Irwell Valley Housing. The officer will work within the community to help to raise the profile of the proposed Firs Centre with local business and funders to gain funding to drive the project forward so that the centre becomes a reality.

Hosted by Irwell Valley Housing but employed by Our Sale West Big Local, covering Sale West you will help us to contact business across Trafford to gauge interest and encourage investment.

You will investigate and establish a community sponsorship scheme such as crowdfunding, create and manage social media pages and website and create and circulate a proposed community centre flyer.

With knowledge of national, regional and local funding providers, you will have experience of designing and distributing promotional materials and you will ideally have an understanding of issues affecting the work of voluntary and community groups. You’ll be committed to the principles of equal opportunities along with having an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
