General Builder
Our clients are an established construction company based in Melksham.
They provide a professional, high quality service to both domestic and commercial customers.
Due to continued success and expansion we are seeking a full time and permanent qualified builder for ongoing work in and around the Melksham area.
This is a PAYE position and there is flexibility around the provision of a company van (Clean driving licence essential) and tools.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• 5 years minimum experience in being a builder or in the building trade.
• Recognised trade qualification
• Demonstrate experience in working on commercial and domestic projects.
• Experience in dealing with the general public in a professional manner.
• Ensuring you deliver a customer focused, cost effective and efficient service
Responsibilities:
• Carrying out routine new build, PPM and repair and improvement works.
• Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
• Work safely, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, customer and visitors.
• Complete all job completion notes/reports as required in a timely manner.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate a willingness to attend training courses
Additional Role Information
The core skills for this position is that of a general builder, however we expect the successful candidate to be proficient in a variety of construction skills such as Plumbing, Electrical, Plastering, Roofing and Carpentry and willing to be flexible and accommodating to the needs of the company and deliver the works required comprehensibly.
We are looking for someone with a flexible approach and a can do attitude
A vehicle may be supplied; therefore, applicants should possess a full clean driving licence.
You must be able to work within Safe Working Practices and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies and guidelines
