The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising reputation management; brand development and oversight; recruitment campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; schools and colleges engagement; enquiry management and follow up; internal communications; media relations; design and publications development; Faculty marketing and recruitment; web and digital development; and market insight. Role Maternity cover for 12 months or until the return of the postholder, whichever is soonest.

You will lead on the production of exceptional and highly creative corporate design solutions (print and digital) for the range of DMU's marketing materials including brochures, displays and online media, to the highest standard. You will work closely with the colleagues within the Brand and Corporate Marketing Team, and the wider Marketing and Communications Directorate to develop cohesive branding across all areas of the university and will report directly to the Brand and Corporate Marketing Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced Senior Designer to join the Brand and Corporate Marketing team at De Montfort University (DMU). You will become the lead designer of our innovative and fast-moving team who are responsible for delivering key marketing design and print requirements for the university. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a design related subject, you will have proven relevant experience in a busy design studio. You will be a proficient Mac user with experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Illustrator, and have experience of successfully working to brand guidelines. An exceptional, highly creative designer with experience in designing and art-working a variety of print and digital format your work will range from single adverts through to a suite of integrated publications. Working efficiently to tight deadlines is essential. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and have an excellent working knowledge of print and digital. You will also have an eye for detail and an exceptional degree of accuracy.
