Job Description

We are pleased to be partnering with a commercial care organisation based in Hertfordshire currently seeking to employ a HR Advisor within their corporate Head Office.

The Human Resources Advisor is a key member of the HR team, reporting into the Head of HR and working within a small HR team to provide a HR generalist service to the business. We are looking for a HR professional with experience who is innovative and enthusiastic, keeping the outcomes of excellent care for service users and a motivated and satisfied staff at the centre of the process.

The HR Advisor will work with the Head of HR to improve HR operations, proactively providing advice to the business, dealing with employee relations issues and HR generalist projects.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of HR to implement the HR strategy in areas such as employee engagement, recruitment, performance management, absence and holiday management, training and development, succession planning and talent management
  • Manage employee relations cases (including investigations, performance management, disciplinary cases and grievances)
  • Be the first point of contact for all HR queries and escalate appropriately depending on the query raised
  • Work with the Head of HR to ensure that the Group is meeting the required regulations in all aspects of HR as set by the regulators, particularly the Care Quality Commission
  • Assist the Head of HR with both administrative and strategic elements of the role and take responsibility for certain areas and projects, such as placing and monitoring of job adverts, tracking recruitment, advising on applicants, monitoring Group KPIs (e.g. sickness, turnover and retention), development of the HR systems, processes and paperwork, auditing work to ensure that the Homes are compliant
