Financial Processing Manager (NHS experience essential)

Financial Processing Manager (NHS) - 3 months - Gillingham - GBP210 a day (inside IR35)

You will be a senior member of the Financial Services team and will lead on all aspects of transactional finance.

The main responsibilities of this role are to work with the Financial Controller to provide the most efficient and responsive accounts receivables and accounts payables services.

This will involve;

• Continuous review and development of these functions.
• Developing and reporting on key performance indicators(KPIs).
• Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant (Cash) to plan and efficiently manage cash.
• Working closely with the Finance Systems Accountant to develop and fully utilise Finance systems and ledgers.
• Board reporting on AP/AR statistics.
• Assisting in the review and update of internal accounting procedure notes, SFIs and Scheme of Delegation.
• Liaising with internal and external Auditors, providing information and developing/implementing audit requirements/recommendations as appropriate.

Experience Required

• A professional accountancy qualification (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but applicants with experience in a similar role who are not fully qualified may be considered.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including general ledger.
• Knowledge of Treasury, AP and AR processes and controls including AOB requirements and methods.
• Knowledge of internal controls and the audit process.
• Knowledge of relevant tax and legal requirements (eg VAT).
• NHS experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Late Payment of Commerical Debts Act and Better Payments Practice Code.
