Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Location: Balsall Common, Coventry, CV7 7DT

Successful candidate will be responsible for

Providing quality childcare for children and their families within the organisation.

Key Tasks- Children and Families

To plan and provide a caring and stimulating environment that is appropriate for individual children and enables them to reach their full potential using the eyfs framework
To adhere to all policies and procedure and the statutory guidance
To understand and work towards the Nursery’s Mission, Aims and Objectives
To contribute and work towards your own Personal Development Plan, training and objectives in partnership with your Manager

To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet the children’s developmental needs and stimulates their learning following the Early Years Foundation Stage
To actively contribute your ideas for both indoor and outdoor play and learning experiences
To respect the equipment and resources in the nursery and take responsibility for keeping your room tidy

To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families in a way that values parental involvement
To observe children’s development and keep accurate records of their achievement
To provide a service that respects children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion
To manage a key group and form good relationships with the child and their family
To assess and monitor child development and plan to support their individual needs
To work effectively and positively as part of a team
To help and support students/volunteers on placement
To be responsible for nursery resources and report loss/damage or low stock levels to the appointed person

To carry out duties and responsibilities of the post with regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy
To attend and participate in staff meetings, training, planning and staff development days To act as an ambassador for the organisation and maintain a positive image of its mission, aims and objectives
To carry out any other duties which will be seen to enhance the service we provide to the children and their families
To assist in keeping children safe at all times
