Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Location: Balsall Common, Coventry, CV7 7DT
Successful candidate will be responsible for
Providing quality childcare for children and their families within the organisation.
Key Tasks- Children and Families
- To plan and provide a caring and stimulating environment that is appropriate for individual children and enables them to reach their full potential using the eyfs framework
- To adhere to all policies and procedure and the statutory guidance
- To understand and work towards the Nursery’s Mission, Aims and Objectives
- To contribute and work towards your own Personal Development Plan, training and objectives in partnership with your Manager
- To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet the children’s developmental needs and stimulates their learning following the Early Years Foundation Stage
- To actively contribute your ideas for both indoor and outdoor play and learning experiences
- To respect the equipment and resources in the nursery and take responsibility for keeping your room tidy
- To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families in a way that values parental involvement
- To observe children’s development and keep accurate records of their achievement
- To provide a service that respects children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion
- To manage a key group and form good relationships with the child and their family
- To assess and monitor child development and plan to support their individual needs
- To work effectively and positively as part of a team
- To help and support students/volunteers on placement
- To be responsible for nursery resources and report loss/damage or low stock levels to the appointed person
- To carry out duties and responsibilities of the post with regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy
- To attend and participate in staff meetings, training, planning and staff development days To act as an ambassador for the organisation and maintain a positive image of its mission, aims and objectives
- To carry out any other duties which will be seen to enhance the service we provide to the children and their families
- To assist in keeping children safe at all times
