Legal Assistant
An exciting opportunity to work within Public Sector based in Plymouth, Britain's Ocean City. You will work within a great modern office, located on the beautiful waterside with marina views, along with a subsidised refectory.
You would be an experienced or newly qualified Legal Assistant, able to work on a full time basis Monday - Friday. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Plymouth City Council within their legal team, with the focus on Adult Social Care. Ideally you would have experience of mental health/mental capacity work, elderly care law or adult social care work.
Salary for this exciting opportunity is in the region of GBP11.00 -GBP14.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
You will hold the following experience and qualifications;
- ILEX Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law, ideally with 2 years associated work experience.
- Reasonable experience of preparing straightforward legal cases.
- Evidence of liaising with client departments and internal Officers.
- Experience of providing general legal advice and assistance.
- Outline understanding of department policy and procedures and basic knowledge.
- Demonstrable skills in using PC based applications including Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and in house legal software.
- Essential experience required of working within the area of Adult Social Care.
