Network Analyst (Cisco) - CCNA - Global Retail Leader
Watford, Hertfordshire

++ An excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Analyst to join a global retailer with revenues of $113.7 Billion ++


The successful Network Analyst will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and the support of the network infrastructure.

In detail:

+ Provide design configuration and support of the network infrastructure, including but not limited to: Cisco UCS servers and VMWare, Cisco routing / switching technologies, Prime, WLC and ASA Firewalls
+ Provide guidance and input to Data Centre planning / migration
+ Have experience in maintaining SAN technologies, preferably EMC
+ Maintain backup and DR processes for server and storage 
+ Administration and maintenance of the Cisco WiFi solution
+ Provide 2nd / 3rd line support to the business and respond to escalated calls in a timely manner
+ Maintain network security best practices and assist in Information Security compliance 
+ Ensure system stability to aid the smooth running of the business
+ Participate in IS projects where necessary
+ Manage 3rd party providers
+ Keep up to date with technological advancements related to the business

Qualifications/Experience required:

A strong knowledge of networking and server infrastructure is essential. Candidates should be technically hands on but also possess the ability to design and architect networks and systems.

At least three years experience of providing 2nd /3rd line network infrastructure support and at least CCNA certified, with one or more of the following certifications highly desirable:

- CCDA (Design Associate)
- CCNP (Routing and Switching)
- CCDP (Design Professional)
- CCNP (Security)

The candidate should be experienced in working with multiple Data Centres and associated technologies. Hands on knowledge in load balancing, replication and failover technologies is required.

Other areas of IT Infrastructure desirable would be:

Knowledge of Windows server 2012 /2016 and Active Directory 
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration
Knowledge of Cisco VoIP such as CUCM
Experience in IBM iSeries system administration
