Head Of Development

Reporting to the Operations Director of Development, this role will be integral in delivering the Group's growth ambitions and existing commitments. We are looking for an individual who adopts a positive and pro-active approach and is able to lead and motivate a high performing team of development professionals and embed change and take timely and significant decisions to ensure the effective delivery of a diverse development programme. 

Progress Housing Group has ambitious plans to develop more than 1,000 new homes over the next five years. We pride ourselves in continuing to deliver a wide range of products for our customers including supported housing, keyworker accommodation and affordable rented homes. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage a team of development professionals ensuring continual awareness of the company’s vision, values and strategic objectives whilst promoting continuous improvement and innovation as a core principal.
• Pro-actively seek out new opportunities suitable for development in accordance with the Group’s Development Strategy and business objectives for growth, securing subsidy input where available.
• Regularly monitor and ensure that all development projects are being project managed effectively, efficiently and comply with the Group’s Financial Regulations and Standing Orders providing assistance, expertise and guidance to the team as appropriate.

Skills and qualities

• Strong leadership skills to encourage and motivate a team promoting positive outcomes. An ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent financial awareness with an ability to prepare, monitor and analyse financial information for cash-flow and budgeting purposes
