As a Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with a combined role involving enhancing the commercial applications of our client’s exciting, cutting edge projects and delivering work within the projects themselves and taking responsibility for specific project areas. 

Securing the success of the project outcomes, you will lead the commercial development of the flexible substation platform that our client is developing. You will develop business opportunities within companies who wish to utilise the system architecture and ensure commercial offerings are sound, understood by customers and offer value. 

This is a senior position in which you will lead the development of new market segments whilst also playing a key role with innovative, technical and commercial products that will prepare customers for changes within the energy system. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need: 

- Business development experience in an energy consultancy or product commercialisation environment 
- Knowledge of the technical challenges that the energy industry faces 
- Project management experience, ideally in the energy industry 

Dynamic, forward-thinking and influential, as a Business Development Manager, you will need outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to a high-level but non-technical audience whilst maintaining engagement levels. You’ll need to be able to lead from the front, problem-solve on the fly and circumvent issues.
