Technical Solution Design Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arose for a Technical Solution & Design Analyst (internally known as Solution Analyst & Designer) to work within our newly created End to End design team as part of our Transformation Function. The Solution Design Analysts are responsible for the creation of holistic end to end solution designs, covering all aspects of organisation, functional, application, service, infrastructure, data, security, user experience, process and implementation.

Analysis and Design are the essential building blocks fundamental to setting up our programmes and projects for success and ensuring we deliver the change portfolio in a safe and efficient manner.

The role requires a strong delivery focus and effective communication skills, you will be required to lead communication of new processes and procedures; this will include championing of new techniques across the YBS group.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with your team,colleagues, enterprise/solution architects and other stakeholders to identify the end to end solution.

• Document functional and technical requirements in alignment with standards and best practice guidelines.

• Ensure that appropriate solutions are developed leveraging not only internal skills and capabilities but also the capabilities of YBS approved partners and third party suppliers.

• Play a leading role in driving the continuing maturity and evolution of the technical discipline within the End to End Design team, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and up-to-date with the latest industry trends and practices.

• Work alongside the governance and compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet current regulatory and company standards.

• Lead and influence design decisions ensuring that the whole end to end solution is appropriate for the YBS Group's needs.

• Support all aspects of design, development and testing activities throughout the whole change life cycle, providing design assurance to the delivery teams.

• Lead and facilitate cross team/discipline workshops

The Knowledge & Skills you'll have:

• Technical background in at least one of the following Oracle, PL/SQL, SOA, Java, C#, .Net

• Extensive experience of working within a project delivery environment.

• Experience of delivering functional, technical and application design artefacts against agreed timescales.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience of working in partnership with strategic partners and preferred suppliers.

• Experience of delivering IT change in complex environments involving teams from different disciplines and different suppliers.

• Experience of building and managing relationships across multiple teams from Enterprise Architecture through Delivery and into IT Support functions to deliver large projects and programmes.

• Awareness of wider industry developments and show desire to constantly look at and learn from external best practice'.

• Demonstrates strong self-development and career direction

• Experience of working with automation, orchestration and integration tools
