Software support and Technical Administration
This company designs, develops, sells, delivers, trains and supports B2B users of their mobile apps.
Play a vital role within the business which has a fantastic reputation for fast and efficient service to their clients. There is an opportunity to be integrally involved and rewarded for any or all of the above.
Based in a Loughton office with parking, near a tube station, they are offering a varied and interesting role, to help manage and deploy client software roll-outs, in an organised and methodical manner. This involves site visits, training sessions with end business users and occasionally attendance at UK trade shows in a customer support and liaison capacity.
As a small but hungry business, with 20+ years' experience with mobile business systems, we are not just providing apps, but deliver complete business solutions to importers, manufacturers and wholesale distributors. Many of their clients are market leaders in their product sector and they rely upon their software to handle their field and web sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Investigate, manage and resolve client support calls
- Record the findings in the support log system
- Document and organise remote developers to development tasks
- Ensure development work is recorded and tested accurately
- Work with clients to ensure successful receipt of content
- Update and maintain demonstration and training materials, help manuals and documentation
- Learn how to operate, install and configure our applications on servers and mobile devices
- Delivering remote and on-site customer training
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of the corporate website and social media campaigns
- Assisting with marketing campaign preparation
- Occasional trade show attendance in a support and liaison capacity
- Software licensing management, ordering and tracking
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Concise communication and presentation to our UK and off-shore developers, to convey clients' requests and expectations
- Accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Problem -solving aptitude.
- Ability to rapidly learn to understand in-house and client software (training provided).
- Good written and verbal English
- Ability to focus, concentrate and complete tasks using own initiative
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable, punctual and adaptable
- Good personal presentation for client site visits
- Computer-literate and have an interest in the latest technologies and trends
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
EXPERIENCE
- A technical or software engineering background may be helpful, but not essential.
- An underlying knowledge of SQL databases and business computer networks would be helpful, but not essential.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in an administrative role or technical environment highly desirable
EDUCATION:
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent with strong Maths & English GCSEs
- Bachelor's degree desirable but not essential
