We also help thousands of local people each year to gain the basic skills needed for work, be it English and maths, employability skills or specific work-related qualifications. Our students routinely win awards in regional and national competitions and the challenge helps to unleash their talent and prepare them for the competitive world of employment.

Fabrication and Welding is a key local skills requirement and one expected to grow further with the arrival of the District Heat Network in Stoke, Ceramic Valley developments and potential HS2 infrastructure projects. The College already works closely with significant local employers, training up future workforces to deliver economic growth for the region.
