Proud of our reputation afforded to us by many centuries of dedication to the nation’s maritime infrastructure, we are a forward-thinking organisation and it is our ability to meet new challenges and the changing requirements of the modern mariner that keeps us relevant and effective.

Working under an established Senior Civil Technician, covering all aspects of lighthouse buildings and estate maintenance, the role comprises two facets;- “firstly” physical hands on work within capabilities such as husbandry, heli-net replacement, changing a door to re-glazing a lantern room, “secondly” supervising contractors and raising minor contract specifications. A relevant technical qualification is essential as is a high aptitude for working with IT

The post will be based in St Just, but will involve extensive UK travel and extended time away from home and the depot. Duties will involve working with helicopters and boats and in a physically challenging environment; thus a suitable level of fitness is required.
