Sightsavers has a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Monitoring and Evidence Advisor to join the Programme Systems and Monitoring Team to help deliver excellent services in our mission to eradicate blindness.
You will be expected to provide support to the global portfolio of projects which spans Africa & Asia. The successful candidate will work to ensure quality project baseline and endline data collection, coordination, reporting and learning. This is an area of work that is growing and developing within Sightsavers and the successful applicant would have the opportunity to contribute significantly to this development.
The successful applicant will work to develop Sightsavers quantitative outcome monitoring approach across our themes. Taking a systems strengthening approach to monitoring and ensuring quality data collection. The successful applicant will need to be comfortable with quantitative and qualitative data and understand all aspects of project monitoring in the project life cycle.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Masters Level (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as monitoring & evaluation, public health, international development, statistics, policy, education or equivalent. Experience of working within the international development sector is advantageous with a strong working knowledge of monitoring & evaluation. Strong written and communications skills are essential along with the ability to network with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Fluency in French is highly desirable and a willingness to travel up to 12 weeks per year on various trips globally is essential.
