Based at the Rural Business School at Stoke Climsland or Rosewarne, we are looking for an experienced individual to work with researchers involved in the Agri-tech Cornwall Project by providing support to a research project on multi-species swards. The role will include on-farm data collection and monitoring as well as the development of on-line tools.

Applicants must be educated to degree-level, have an appreciation of sustainable agricultural practice, particularly in relation to grassland management, diverse swards and soil management, have a sound knowledge of farming and an interest in agricultural research.

Agri-tech Cornwall is a GBP10m project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund to increase Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) in the agri-tech sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It is a partnership of the region's leading stakeholders in agri-tech RD&I: Duchy College, Rothamsted Research, the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth, and the Cornwall Development Company. The partners and other knowledge providers are working proactively with companies to solve sector growth challenges through RD&I, leading to new and improved products and processes which in turn will drive growth and productivity.

Grade / Salary: CC29, GBP22,187 pro rata
