Joiner/Carpenter
36 hours a week Mon-Thurs, regular Friday morning overtime.
Guaranteed salary of GBP24,635, Fridays paid as extra.
An excellent opportunity for a bench joiner to join a well established family company, established for 300 years in fact! This highly reputable company makes and supplies lead sheets and ancillary products to the building trade, in addition to this, the company designs, manufactures and installs radiation shielding and other products to nuclear, medical and other markets.
What do we need you to do?
Reporting to the Fabrications manager, you will be working as part of a professional team manufacturing high end bespoke doors, windows, frames and architrave. Working with a variety of woods and veneers fully assembling and finishing ready for installation.
Essential experience:
Proven experience as a bench joiner/Carpenter capable of very fine finishes
Working from drawings and to fine tolerances
Able to use full set of wood working machinery both power and hand tools
It goes without saying that your work standards, ability to prioritise tasks and timekeeping must be exemplary.
