The UI Designer Role:

Working across mobile, tablet and desktop, our UI Designer needs to consider how both organisational staff and service end users will be interacting with our applications, as well as how our applications can carry engaging design. It’s a busy role with both long term new feature challenges, and short term figure it out problems, but you’ll get to really use all your skills, and ...

+ Collaborate with product management and development teams to bring to life the product direction, visual and user experience
+ Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
+ Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
+ Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas that allow a simple user experience
+ Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
+ Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback of use of the product
+ Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
+ Work with our head of marketing on brand look and feel and tone of voice for use within our product
+ Create brand graphics, icons and product visuals for use within the company product interfaces as well as for use in company marketing materials and presentation
+ Implement and manage the new company website design and graphics together with our marketing team

The Person:

// Definitely need experience in / with:


+ Digital interface design and user experience in a functional digital application (not just brochureware)
+ Creating wireframes, user flows, site maps
+ Designing for mobile, tablet and desktop
+ Design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop or Illustrator

// Ideally experience in / with:

+ HTML, CSS, JavaScript so you know what can be built from the designs
+ Graphic Design and supporting with brand materials
+ Nice to have had experience in / with:
+ Designing both business and consumer tools
+ Branding

// Must be able to show:

+ Previous experience in a Digital Design role 
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to all levels
+ Clear technical understanding, especially when it comes to keeping abreast of large amounts of complex requirements that can change frequently
+ The ability to map a customer experience or journey, including experience using research and analysis to design the best customer experience whilst using data to make informed decisions
+ Adaptability and being able to handle multiple tasks across different areas

+ £30,000-£45,000 dependent on experience
