The Company:
Our client is an industry leader in detection technology, providing cargo and vehicle inspection systems and services to help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud.

They offer a broad array of scanning system configurations that leverage low-, medium-, and high-energy X-ray technology—or multiple X-ray technologies.

Due to their continued growth, they now have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Apprentice to join the organisation.

The Customer Service Apprentice Role:
This role is to assist the Service Spares & Logistics Coordinator with daily responsibilities/tasks across all product groups in EMEA.

The Customer Service Apprentice will manage service inventory at the Salfords site, offsite at customer locations & 3PL via Navision.

Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service Apprentice:

  • First line support for all service spares & logistics transactions
  • Manage Service stock takes in Navision in line with finance/audit requirements
  • Support management and admin activity for 3PL locations
  • Ensure frequent stock takes are completed and reconciled
  • Keep Hayes inventory log up to date
  • Replenish stock at site based on minimum stock levels
  • Manage Service backlog in Navision on a daily basis
  • Process internal stock transfers in Navision from one location to another
  • Frequent reporting on inventory status
  • Work with the internal call centre to provide up to date reports
  • Closing service jobs on Navision after processing
  • Pick, pack & ship items from stores(ad-hoc) if limited availability in Stores/Logistics

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Proactive hands on individual
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages – Outlook, Excel, Word
