Engineering Inspection Supervisor

FINTEC recruit is seeking an Engineering Inspection Supervisor for our client in the marine sector. This is based in Kent, South East England. This is a permanent position with salary circa £41,000 ,allowances, plus pension and benefits. You will be working a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday. You are required to have supervisory experience, and have electrical and mechanical (multi-skilled) in a similar work environment with LOLER certification. You will be required to cover for the Engineering Manager on occasions. You will have knowledge and experience of current techniques in plant engineering repairs and maintenance

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out inspections on mobile plant and lifting equipment
• Rope examination experience/competency
• Take a lead /Supervisory role in the inspection and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Supervising and directly controlling planned maintenance team support services
• Ensuring safety regulatory compliance for teams and support services are deployed
• Ensure highest standards are maintained for availability, reliability and safety of equipment in use.
• Monitor, Review and modify inspection and maintenance programmes
• Day to day operational maintenance
• Repair and maintenance of marine containers and general cargo handling equipment

Skills and experience for the Inspection Supervisor

• Rope examination experience/competency is also desirable
• Competent in statutory LOLER requirements
• HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
• Supervisory experience
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Hold an AP61 mobile crane Appointed Person for lifting operations
