Distribution and Customer Service Administrator

Brook Street has a fantastic opportunity for a temporary distributions administrator in the Birtley area of Gateshead. As one of the sites distributions administrators you would organise the storage and distribution of goods. In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You may also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.

The is initially a temp contract of 8 weeks, however the client has indicted the possibility of an ongoing temp contract.

The hours of work at Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am-3.

Main Tasks:

  • POD (proof of delivery)scanning; making sure all POD's are scanned correctly and the Scanfile system is kept up to date
  • Controlling outstanding POD's and producing weekly reports to show both completed and outstanding POD's
  • Raising and controlling customer returns
  • Updating the LMS system and managing all POD queries
  • Managing customer complaints and investigations into queries; completing an investigation process with each query/complaint, deciding whether a credit should be raised and then dealing with this as required
  • Controlling and processing credit control queries and ensuring the LMS system is kept up to date on pick errors, shortages, damages, refused deliveries and scrap at source
  • Liaising with colleagues in the Sales and Marketing teams as necessary
  • Monitoring and reporting on COTD (Customer on time delivery )in line with departmental KPI's
  • Providing cover for shifts on the 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts when required
