Planet Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Projects Manager. Based in our Leeds Office, you will be on a full time permanent basis, with a highly competitive starting minimum salary circa £18,000 dependent on experience.
As our Trainee Projects Manager, you will undertake a training programme to learn to manage the performance of contracts entered by the Company to ensure projects run smoothly, are delivered on time and within budget, and in accordance with Company standards.
You will initially work alongside a Projects Manager in order to learn, and ultimately fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
- Resource allocation and staff management
- Client liaison and account management
- Cost control and budgeting
- Planning / programming
- Site visits / meetings and problem resolution
- Risk assessments and Health and Safety compliance
- Promoting the company brand
In order to be considered for the position you will need the following skills and qualifications:
- Good communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
- Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Initiative and self-motivation
- A passion for the business and a desire to develop and succeed within the role
- Advanced IT skills
- GCSE English & Maths
