An exciting position is available within our in-house caf?? at City of Oxford College
We are looking for a flexible casual working hour's person to fulfil pre-planned cover hours in our onsite caf??
We are open Monday-Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm with slight variations on shift patterns subject to your availability, also this role would be to cover for full-time staff annual leave absence, sickness absence and additional event business needs. Your flexibility on hours will support your monthly income.
Hours are available are on a daily basis and would follow a mixture of term and out of term college timetables - with flexibility over days and weeks which can be planned in advance.
"Currently we have a 7am to 9am shift available Monday to Friday and also additional hours throughout the day next month for holiday covers so early application will secure more chances."
One aspect of the role in term time is to support our full-time catering students in the caf?? whilst they complete their work experience. This is a very important part of their studies and your input can place a positive impact on their career goals.
Therefore you need to be confident in your own customer service skills to then coach others.
Some of the tasks involved will be:
- Serving and taking payments for refreshment and food purchases
- Making caf?? style drinks - Latte/Cappuccino's etc (training can be given)
- Making/serving breakfast items and toasted sandwiches/panini's
- Stocking shelves and fridges with snacks/drinks
- Assisting in storing deliveries and stock rotation
- Regular cleaning and maintaining an hygienic working area
This might suit someone with an interest in developing their professional customer service skills within this sector.
Caf?? Experience is desirable but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate
