About the role: Our Academic Information systems are fundamental to our success. Inthis key role, youll play a vital part in our new ambitious programmeto transform student experience by providing essential academicinformation systems support. As a result of restructuring and centralising IT Services, werelooking for a talented and creative lead application analyst with strongtechnical knowledge and leadership skills who has experience of workingwith large systems. Youll be responsible for the management,maintenance and support of a number of specific business applications,and management of relevant application vendors and suppliers. Experienceof Higher Education academic support information systems such asLearning Management, Library Management and Research systems would beadvantageous. Applied knowledge of MS SQL Server Transact SQL isessential. With a degree or relevant professional qualification, youll havesignificant experience of managing and supporting business applicationsand of working with large database systems. Youll have experience ofproviding software and systems support to end users and of systemconfiguration and administration. Experience of requirement gathering,analysis and testing of systems is essential. With good technicalknowledge of database systems and application environments, youll beable to work both independently and as part of a team to meet tightdeadlines. With a high degree of accuracy, youll have demonstrableexperience of providing high quality customer service to internal andexternal stakeholders. Experience of application supplier management isessential.
