This is a brilliant opportunity to join such a crucial team as a Lifeline Advisor.
This is a full time permanent position within a well established company in Peterborough, with free parking on site and shift allowance added to the salary offered.
To do this role you will be responding to emergency calls that come in to the centre, being able to prioritise and take the appropriate action to ensure the welfare and safety of the vulnerable and often elderly customers are maintained. You will work with external agencies such as social services, out of hours teams, contractors, emergency services. You will as a whole deal with the customer over the phone, however there is a brilliant opportunity as part of the role to attend as a responder to customers properties when necessary and provide the appropriate support, applying risk assessments in accordance with the companies policies. As part of the role you will also keep in contact with customers on a daily basis, wishing them happy birthday, welfare checks, equipment checks.
You will need great listening and communication skills, the ability to manage your own workload to ensure that you have great organisational skills and are proactive to get what is required, arranged and completed. You will be dealing with emergency or crisis situations so it important that you are able to remain calm and empathetic to all customers who require assistance. Through the role you will be liaising with external agencies so that is why your communication skills are crucial to this role. You will also need to have great attention to detail to ensure that all records and reports are accurate and kept up to date, as these records will be used by other agencies. You will be a great team player and able to adapt to each situation recognising the appropriate action required.
To be considered for this role you will have excellent computer skills, experience of working in a call centre environment. It is desirable to have experience of working with external agencies and an understanding of the needs of the vulnerable and elderly. Having knowledge of local services available in the Peterborough and surrounding area is desirable and a working knowledge of the Tunstall PNC6 call handling system. It is essential that you hold a full, current manual driving licence to be considered for this role.
The salary being offered for this role is £17041 - £18550 + a shift allowance for unsociable hours. This role offers a shift rotation over a 2 week period.
