Their cause is to help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
There are currently 2 immediate vacancies for Warehouse Assistants based at their distribution centre in Croydon working full time.
Role Overview:
You will help make sure the Company's shops are fully stocked by contributing at their Retail Central Warehouse. You will assist with booking in deliveries from carriers, moving goods to the right place for bar coding, picking stock and carrying out stock checks. You will be a key part of the process that puts items on the shelves along with general housekeeping. It will also see you alert the warehouse manager to any problems so that they can be quickly solved.
The Company's Warehouse, based just outside Croydon, opens at 7am and closes at 4pm (and 5pm on Wednesdays) and being punctual is essential. The weekly working hours for full time staff are 43 per week (5 days). The warehouse operates a rota basis which means you may be required to work alternative Saturdays & Sundays (but will have a rest days during the week). A flexible attitude is essential.
The Candidate:
Having previous warehouse experience is desirable as well as possessing the ability to work well under pressure and be calm and adaptable. You will have a good general level of education including numerical and accuracy skills, be PC literate and be a good communicator (fluent in written and spoken English). You should be happy to liaise with internal and external customers whilst working as part of a team. You should have a full clean driving licence as delivering stock to the various Palaces across London may be required. Please note that this role may require you to work you will be required to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday inclusive) and Bank Holidays.
