Cover Supervisors

COVER SUPERVISORS - up to Five days per week Fixed Term to July 2019. Pay scale: WPA Grade 4 GBP17,689fte. Hourly rate of pay GBP9.17 per hour

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, confident and skilled Cover Supervisors to join our team of professionals from September 2018. We will consider applicants for a full or part time role and it may be possible to start earlier than September 2018. The key role of a Cover Supervisor is to work closely with our students across a range of subjects and to ensure they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. We are particularly interested in recruiting someone with a background/interest in PE for one of the posts. Candidates will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills for this rewarding role and be relentless in their commitment to the success of all our students.

The ability to work calmly and often under pressure is essential. A good working knowledge of current ICT packages is required and previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. However we have a strong commitment to developing our staff so you can also expect to engage in a range of training activities. As such this is an excellent preparation for anyone considering a career in either teaching or supporting students' learning.

These are term time only positions. The full time work pattern for a Cover Supervisor is Monday to Friday, 8.45am-3.25pm which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Actual work days to be worked can be discussed/negotiated at interview.
