We are pleased to announce that we are now seeking an experienced Hardware Sales Manager to join our team supplying products to the marine and offshore industries worldwide.

What we are looking for:

+ Someone enthusiastic wanting to learn about a new industry or someone with experience in purchasing and sales.
+ A candidate that may have worked in a Stores / Sales Rep capacity
+ Ideally you may have worked in the Oil sector supplies or hardware suppliers to construction industry.
+ Ability to communicate on phone and in person 
+ Experience in technical sales at some level Some knowledge of Sage.

The business is a manufacturer of marine and offshore doors as well as a marine hardware supplier to the marine and offshore industry. We currently have an opening for a Hardware Sales Manager working out of our new facility in Coatbridge.

Hardware Sales Manager Responsibilities:

+ Provide a first point of contact for customers.
+ Supporting our external sales team with hardware estimating / order support. 
+ Provide quotes, advice & technical information to customers in a timely & accurate fashion relating to marine / offshore hardware & associated products.
+ Maintain a professional level of customer contact to manage the conversion of quotes into orders & any other queries relating to sales.
+ Liaise with customers & suppliers where necessary.
+ Manage the process of customer orders from receipt of purchase order through to delivery.
+ Manage customers’ expectations.
+ Meet or exceed sales targets

Helpful Qualifications / Experience:

+ Ideally sales experience of marine, offshore and associated products within the marine industry.
+ Technical knowledge and awareness of marine hardware & its applications.
+ Knowledge of materials used and their requirements in the marine/offshore environments.
+ Knowledge and awareness of the market, both customers & competitors.
+ Knowledge and awareness of quality and delivery performance standards.
+ Knowledge and awareness of sales and purchasing terms of conditions.
+ A familiarity with methods of transportation and Incoterms.
+ Ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings.
+ Experience of production and inventory management.
+ Experience of procuring marine hardware preferable.
+ Experience of sales contribution, margin, cost, profit and volume.
+ Preferred ISO9001 &/or Quality Management System awareness.
+ Preferred Marine Equipment Directive awareness.

+ Effective communicator at all levels, both written & verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to motivate staff.
+ IT and a mathematical ability for interpreting figures & statistics.
