This company is the market leader in linen and garment rental and it supplies textiles to Scotland's top hotels and business. Established more than 100 years ago, this successful company employs over 800 staff at their five modern automated production plants in Cupar, Perth, Newcastle, Coatbridge & Livingston.

They are looking for an experienced Plant Manager preferably with a previous background in Production operations for their plant in Perth

Principal Duties
- Full cost responsibility associated with the plant
- Processing responsibility for all product lines associated with Perth Customer base
- Lead, manage, drive, develop and coach a diverse production workforce.
- Implement operational change in line with business strategy
- Utilise human resource practices, policies and processes including selection and recruitment requirements for all production related tasks in line with GM guidance, training and development of individuals and teams, appraisals and any disciplinary and grievances
- Responsible for ensuring all H&S requirements are adhered to ensuring safe working practices are used and a H&S culture embedded
- Implement, manage and monitor lean processes eliminating wastes
- Liaise closely with Account Management to ensure retention of all customers and ensure levels of service and quality remain above acceptable levels
- Through the management and direction of others minimise and control all production costs including but not exhaustive to payroll, energy, equipment and textiles.
- Achieve all KPIs
- Work alongside the Transport Manager to ensure route departure are on time
- Liaise with the Engineering Manager to plan in scheduled maintenance to ensure optimum performance is maintained without negatively impacting production performance

Essential knowledge and experience:
- 3+ years' experience of leading a large team in a fast-paced environment
- Awareness of Health and Safety legislation
- Profit and loss awareness
- Experience of HR practices
- Experience of managing performance
- Experience of contributing to a successful change management and continuous improvement/lean culture
- Environmental/quality standards awareness
