Care / Support Worker
About Proud to Care Devon
Proud to Care Devon is about celebrating our dedicated care and support workers and finding more inspirational people to join them in encouraging people towards better independence and improving their quality of life. This is an enormously rewarding area to work or become involved in. It has great career prospects with opportunities to progress in areas like nursing, social work and registered care management. If you want to make a difference, somewhere in your community there’s a job that you can do to help others.
Health and social care opportunities
Health and social care is about providing physical, emotional and social support to help people live their lives. For various reasons and at different stages in their lives, some people need support to develop and maintain their independence, dignity and control. If you work in social care, you could help people in their own homes, in residential homes or in a number of other places such as day services or supported living.
We have many opportunities for career development in health and social care. Wherever you find yourself, the 6Cs are always at the heart of everything we do – care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment. While you support people to have the best quality of life they possible can, we’ll do the same for you.
Whether you’re looking for a career change, returning to work, or starting your working life, we have the knowledge, expertise and resources to make sure you feel like a valuable part of the team from day one. You don’t necessarily need any previous qualifications or experience. As well as learning on the job, we’ll support you to gain qualifications such as certificates or diplomas in care. Bring us the passion for delivering exceptional care and we’ll find the right role for you.
