Estimator - Fenestration

This company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join their existing team in a fast paced department. Experience within a similar environment is essential for the successful candidate to hit the ground running from initial client enquiry through to contract award. The role will be varied, challenging and working as part of a small team.

Duties and responsibilities

- Researching client requirements in order to maximise sales and turnover
- Assessing and minimising the levels of commercial risk on a project
- Translating information from specification and processing new enquiries
- Database management
- Researching materials, equipment and labour costs and applying to the specification
- Preparing and processing tender submissions
- Client follow up

Qualifications/Personal Attributes

- Strong educational background
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office bespoke software
- Exemplary communication and record keeping skills
- Client liaising with a confident telephone manner
- High attention to detail
- High understanding of construction processes and contractual knowledge
- Ability to prioritise work, manage workloads and plan ahead
- Remaining calm under pressure
- Team player
- Drive and enthusiasm

The role is:

- Full Time and permanent
- Available immediately
- Based at Head Office, Sheffield
- Reporting to the Contracts Manager

The hours required are 37 per week, Monday to Thursday 8am-4 and Friday 8am - 4pm.

Expected salary of £18k - £21k per annum plus bonus
The expected salary is negotiable dependant on experience.

Holidays are 22 per holiday year plus Statutory days. The Company also operates a holiday reward scheme initiative for 100% levels of attendance on a quarterly basis. They also operate a shutdown during the Christmas period.

Own transport is of advantage as the Head Office is not part of a bus route. Roadside parking is available.
