Scottish Autism seeks to promote and provide care, education, support and opportunities for people with autism of all ages throughout Scotland. Scottish Women’s Autism Network (SWAN) is a newly formed, inclusive charity that enables peer support and raises awareness and promotes understanding of autistic women and girls across Scotland.
This is a one year project aimed to develop and deliver a peer mentoring programme for autistic females. Mentors will be recruited and trained to support women and girls who will self-refer or will engage with the project via known organisations or networks.
In this role you will raise awareness of the Peer Mentoring project and be an ambassador and representative of both Scottish Autism and SWAN. You will work with Mentors and Mentees to develop a series of experiential learning opportunities to boost confidence, self-esteem and skills.
The lived experience as an autistic woman is the main requirement for this role as well as experience of working with people in a facilitation, support, education or supervisory role.
If you think you have the skills and experience to match our demanding requirements then please apply via the button shown.
Please note the organisation operates a policy where only successful applicants will be contacted. Candidates who have not received written confirmation within two weeks of the closing date for the position should then consider themselves unsuccessful.
