Brook Street is currently recruiting for a pro-active and personable receptionist who is capable of providing administrative support to our industry-leading client in Peterborough.

As the ideal candidate, you would possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal English and are able to liase with clients and staff at all levels.

You would also be able to navigate tight deadlines and manage competing priorities whilst demonstrating a high regard for accuracy.

You would possess a sound knowledge and understanding of basic Financial and Accounting principles, as well as demonstrated experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), E-mail and Internet and databases.

You would also have knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) practices and policies.

Duties for this position include:

  • Greeting visitors ensuring all names and details are logged and recorded in the visitor's book on reception and notifying the appropriate member of staff.
  • Answering the switchboard in an efficient and professional manner
  • Assist with the distribution of incoming faxes, particularly those marked urgent, and notifying the relevant person on receipt to reception.
  • Taking messages if the call cannot be taken at that time.
  • Assist with maintaining the House telephone extension list and ensuring all appropriate staff are provided with an up to date copy.
  • Process the Incoming and Outgoing Post
  • -Assist with meeting room bookings, ordering refreshments
  • Provide back-up administration support as and when required.
  • Log work requests from customers on to the Agility CAFM system, taking requests by phone, email or in person.
  • Esscalate emergency work requests by phone.
  • Provide feed-back on work requests to customers.
  • Provide monthly reports from the Agility CAFM system


This position offers a generous salary of £22,000. Benefits include 20 days annual leave, company sick pay and auto-enrol for pension. This is a full-time, permament position. Working hours for this role will be 08:00 - 17:30 with 30 mins lunch working 42 hours per week.
