The Company:
Our client designs and manufactures highly efficient AC and EC Motors, motorised impellers and fans for the residential and commercial HVAC manufacturing markets worldwide. They sell over 1 million products each year and operate from 2 production sites in the UK.

Due to their continued growth, they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Auditor to join the organisation.

The Quality Auditor Role:
As a member of the quality department, the Quality Auditor will have personal responsibility for ensuring that raw materials, components, subcontract services, manufacturing processes and finished products conform to specification.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Auditor:

  • Support production in the manufacturing of products to ensure that they meet specification and customer requirements (including management and responsibility of the NCP process)
  • Inspection of selected purchased raw materials, components and subcontract services using mechanical and CMM measurement techniques
  • Undertake and become proficient in the random inspection of sub-assemblies and finished goods produced via the company’s manufacturing processes
  • Develop selected organisations within the supply chain to assure their processes and output for new materials, components and services to be right first time
  • Establish yourself as an active contributor to the New Product Implementation and Engineering Change processes - ensuring that product specifications and build instructions for future products and processes are clearly defined and understood by all stakeholders engaged in the manufacturing supply chain

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience of quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of managing improvement activities with UK based and international suppliers
  • Organised and confident with excellent communication skills
  • Personally motivated by a desire to operate in a logical and organised manner
  • Experience with electrical/electronic products
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
