This company is a Bridgend-based telecoms and IT specialist, installing and supporting systems in businesses across South Wales and beyond. They pride themselves on a personal, friendly but professional approach and the majority of their clients come via recommendation and referral.

They have a requirement for a 1st/2nd line IT Support Engineer, responsible for remote, telephone and occasional on-site support of Windows networks, servers, workstations and peripherals.

The successful candidate must be very well-versed in both Windows 7 and 10, and have considerable experience in all aspects of Windows networking, including Active Directory and IPv4 addressing. They must be able to set up new users, configure printers and routers, and carry out a wide variety of remote PC and network support.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills.

While the role is primarily office-based at their Bridgend offices, the successful candidate will be expected to hold a full UK driver's licence, as site visits may occasionally be necessary..

Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri, but they would expect candidates to appreciate that IT Support can never strictly be 9-5.

Depending upon experience, candidates might expect to receive a higher salary than that advertised.
