HR Advisor within a leading Leeds law firm
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional services environment at a firm with a reputation for supporting and developing staff. Based in Leeds, with occasional travel to Halifax and Manchester, you will provide end to end support HR Advisory level support to employees and managers based in various offices. You will work closely with line manager, providing coaching and support with performance planning and management, resolving issues prior to escalation and proactively managing employee relations so that official complaints are an exception. You will also support all aspects of the recruitment process and be involved in developing talent; including working closely with the early years' talent team to support them and trainees/apprentices.
Other responsibilities will include;
Employee Relations
- Carry out any formal grievance and disciplinary investigations to ensure correct and fair process is followed;
- Know how to put a bundle together;
- Act as HR support and note taker for any formal grievance and disciplinary hearings;
- Co-ordinate staff forums and information and consultation process as required;
- Own the induction - welcome any new recruits properly, with motivation and passion.
Performance Management
- Manage performance review cycle for business units, ensuring all communications and documentation are finalised on time and effectively;
- Work with clients to link performance management process with their business requirements and manage appropriate reporting as required.
Advice and Guidance
- Provide accurate advice to employees on any questions relating to policies, procedures, terms and conditions of employment such as flexible working requests, and employee benefits.
HRIS/Management Information/Reporting
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports for client areas and provide dialogue to support where necessary;
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports as requested in line the requirements of the HRBP.
Training
- Working with the Learning & Development team, you will design and carry out training sessions on HR topics as required and in line with the clients' requirements, such as absence management and performance management.
