You will workclosely with the team to design, implement and iterate on featuresquickly and efficiently.You will be a driven, dedicated, and creative individual with a realpassion for technology, grounded in practicality and common sense.You will have a keen interest in the business, not just any giventechnical problem and will seek to understand the big picture and howyour work fits into it.Most of all, we are looking for you to get excited about big, hairytechnical problems like we do.Responsibilities: You will serve as an integral member in the design, analysis, development and deployment efforts for multiple enterprise application projects. You will produce scalable, flexible, efficient and supportable solutions using appropriate technologies You will provide technical guidance to other team members within area of expertise - review work of peers and more junior developers. You will support and follow Expedia Software Development Lifecycle You will collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers and Production Support Engineers in an agile development environment Qualifications: Bachelors or Master's degree in information science, computer science or equivalent work experience Strong Java skills Professional exposure to the Amazon Web Services offerings Strong verbal and written communication skills A passion for solving complex software engineering puzzles in a dynamic environment Deep understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Spring Framework, MVC, REST web services, etc. Knowledge of some of the modern Javascript framework (e.g., Angular, NodeJS) Experience using git in a collaborative setting Contributions to open source projects Our Cultural Norms are what make us Expedia: We believe in being Different .
