Here at Mears Group our vision is to make a positive difference to the communities we serve.

We do this by improving homes, improving communities and improving lives and our approach is based on the development of outstanding partnerships with employees, clients, tenants, customers, their families and the wider community.

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Call Taker to join us at our office based in Hersden, Canterbury, from which we deliver a responsive repairs service for social housing tenants in East Kent. This is to cover Maternity Leave for a period of 12 months.

Within the role, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, clients and subcontractors; taking calls and monitoring the communal email inbox. You will be responsible for arranging appointments, raising orders, directing and transferring calls and emails to the appropriate person or people.

Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level in English and Maths, you will have experience of working with computerized systems, including data entry and calculations, within the building maintenance arena.

With knowledge of filing and retrieval operations of numerical filing systems, the successful candidate will be able to diagnose and collate information and will be experienced in working to tight deadlines within a busy office environment.
